ECC Day 313: “Better Together”
Minnesotans are known by many as being nice people; hence, the saying, “Minnesota Nice.” Today I experienced this way of being to a level well beyond being a Minnesotan; rather, as humans supporting each other in one nation. Hundreds of people, of all ages and backgrounds, gathered to cheer on the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team ( @uswnt ) as they won their fourth World Cup! People were high-fiving friends, family, strangers. I don’t know much about soccer, but I know what it’s like to be part of a team, and how amazing it feels to have this sense of camaraderie USA fans have shared along the way. Well done, team! Now, let’s come together for other things that are important to our collective humanity, like education, the environment, adjusting from mistreatment of our fellow humans. We are better together!
